Rev. Dennett Buettner
The Rev. Dennett Buettner is the Rector of Church of the Savior. He and his wife, Andrea, a Deacon in the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh, were also members of the team that helped plant COTS in the mid-1980s while the Buettners attended nearby Trinity School for Ministry. Dennett has previously served parishes in Shelby, North Carolina, Long Beach, California, and Homestead, Pennsylvania. He and Andrea were also part of the church plant teams for Shepherd's Heart Fellowship and Seeds of Hope Church, two ministries serving among Pittsburgh's urban poor. The Buettners are the parents of three children, Abigail, Naomi and Aaron, and proud grandparents of Kaylie. In his spare time, Dennett enjoys running, gardening, reading Dorothy Sayers’ Lord Peter mysteries, and revisiting favorite Calvin and Hobbes comic strips.
Rev. David Ketter
The Rev. David Ketter is Pastor of the Village Church, a mission of Church of the Savior. He was commissioned as Village Church Pastor in June 2014, after graduating from Trinity School for Ministry. Prior to coming to Ambridge, David served as a ministry leader and preacher in several churches in Beaver County and the boroughs of Pittsburgh. He has been active in campus ministry at Geneva College for a decade and serves as Associate Staff with the Coalition for Christian Outreach. David’s favorite distraction is a telling and hearing good stories—whether over a well-cooked meal, or through books, movies, or podcasts.
Andrea Buettner was ordained a Deacon in 2000. She oversees the ministry of pastoral care at Church of the Savior and also serves as a hospital chaplain with UPMC in Pittsburgh. She and Dennett were married in 1984. They are the parents of three adult children, Abigail, Naomi and Aaron and the grandparents of Kaylie. Andrea enjoys hiking and reading in her spare time.
Laura Wicker has been a deacon at Church of the Savior since 1999. Laura currently serves on the team reaching out to the Crestview and Economy Villiage community. Stewart and Laura have three children: Cesiah, Amanda, and John.
