Church of the Savior meets for weekly worship as well as special events in the top floor sanctuary in our building. Worshipers are welcome to attend without masks; however, we encourage those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 to wear face coverings as a courtesy to others; and those who are vaccinated may also wish to do so in order to protect others from infection. As the pandemic continues, persons who are especially vulnerable to serious infection may wish to join us virtually via the livestream of our weekly service, which can be found here every Sunday at 10 a.m. Archived services (as well as other COTS presentations) are available for viewing at any time on our YouTube channel here.
Preschoolers and toddlers are welcome to visit the “children’s corner” at the rear of the sanctuary during Sunday worship.
COTS offers three midweek Bible study groups:
There is a Zoom study every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. During the current season we are studying the Psalm that will be prayed during worship the following Sunday. If you’d like to join, please contact Pastor Dennett at firstname.lastname@example.org for a link.
Also on Wednesday evening a video Bible study on the Gospel of Matthew is offered for the residents of the Maplewood Personal Care Home. Contact Deacon Laura Wicker at email@example.com for more information
On Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. there is an online video Bible study of the Acts of the Apostles. Again, please contact Deacon Laura Wicker at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or for a link.
Twelve Step groups continue to meet in the Fellowship Hall in the basement of our building Tuesday noon and Sunday and Thursday evenings. For more information please contact your group leader. If you are new to the Twelve Step movement, and would like to be connected to a group, please email us at email@example.com and we will put you in contact with one of the meeting facilitators.
Church of the Savior continues to serve the Kyrie Cafe lunch on the final Sunday of each month. The next meal will be served Sunday January 30, beginning at noon. While the current surge in the pandemic persists, we will continue for the time being to distribute lunch in the parking lot on the Merchant Street side of the Church of the Savior building. Please keep checking monthly for updates concerning when we can resume in person dining in our Fellowship Hall.
