Rector (Senior Pastor) – The Rev. Dennett H. Buettner
Dennett has served as Rector (Senior Pastor) of Church of the Savior since 2006. He was trained at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, and also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Dennett is married to the former Andrea Jackson, who also serves as a Deacon at Church of the Savior. They have three adult children, and two grandchildren.
When not engaged in ministry, Dennett enjoys gardening, hiking, and reading, especially anything Calvin and Hobbes related!
Pastor – The Rev. David W. Ketter, III
David pastored the Village Church congregation of Church of the Savior from 2014-2019 and now assists around the parish. He is a 2014 graduate of Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge and a lifelong western Pennsylvanian. Besides ministering in Ambridge, he also serves as an associate campus minister with the Coalition for Christian Outreach, and writes for the Anglican Multi-ethnic Network.
In his spare time, David prefers to read (especially Tolkien) or catch a good movie or stand-up comedy routine with friends. He also enjoys hosting a weekly podcast called Fighting with God (Apple | Stitcher).
Online Pastor – The Rev. Andrew Kosarik
Andrew’s role as online pastor is to connect and pray with those experiencing worship and community through Church of the Savior’s online platform. While the 2020 pandemic began this ministry, the needs transcend that unique time as we minister to friends outside our geographical area and people within it who are not able to join us in person. Andrew is a graduate of Trinity School for Ministry and earned a Masters of Divinity in 2002. His time at our parish began while he was in seminary when he took on the role of the Parish Administrator. He also led the team that founded the Village Church and became its first pastor.
Andrew’s wife Deanna is a case worker for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They have two children.
Andrew is a Steelers fan having been a Western Pennsylvanian all of his life. In his spare time he dabbles in cooking, enjoys problem solving, likes to swim, takes in a good Sci-fi movie now and then, and loves playing board games and video games with his family.
Deacon Laura Wicker
Laura has served as Deacon of Church of the Savior since 1999. She was trained at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge. She is married to Stewart Wicker, President and Mission Director of the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders. They have three adult children and a daughter-in-law. Laura also works as Executive Administrator of the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health. In her spare time Laura enjoys biking, quilting, and knitting.
Deacon Andrea Buettner
Andrea was trained at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, and has been married to Dennett for 35 years. In addition to her service as a Deacon at Church of the Savior, Andrea is employed as a chaplain with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh. She enjoys hiking, reading and loving her grandchildren.
Village Church Pastor – Jason Wilson
Jason is a graduate of Trinity School for Ministry (MAR ‘14) with a gifting and call to help others to learn about and engage with God by growing into relationship with Jesus. In 2016, Jason heard God’s call to return to Ambridge to help serve in the leadership of Village Church. Jason also served on the vestry (board) of Church of the Savior 2017-2019, where he is active in various ministries and caring for the people of Ambridge. On December 17, 2019, Jason was installed as Village Church Pastor. In his free time, Jason enjoys working on small improvements or upkeep on his house, hobbying about with carpentry, watching movies, or playing video games. He is also the co-host of Fighting with God (Apple | Stitcher).
