Resources Providing Food for Neighbors

Here are a couple of resources I want to share that some of us may be able to use to help make a difference for our Ambridge friends and neighbors already feeling the indirect impact of this epidemic.

First, follow the link for a list of the free meals offered in Beaver County.  This is a resource if you know any people who are hungry and in need of a meal.  20.03.18 Beaver County free meals

Second, the Ambridge Ministerium is sponsoring a canned food drive to help our neighbors in need.  The Center for Hope is closed until further notice, meaning that they will not be having their regular end-of-month food distribution.  We are in contact with the Pittsburgh Food Bank to see if they can help fill some of the need, but in the meantime there is an immediate need for supplies.

There are a couple of ways you can help.  Tomorrow morning (March 19) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pastor Brock Covington of the Ambridge Alliance Church (located at Ninth and Merchant) will be receiving donations of canned goods to give out.  Or you can bring items by COTS as you have opportunity and we will see that they are delivered for distribution early next week.  If you bring something in and don’t have a key to the reception area, leave it (in a bag) in the nursery so it is out of the way and we will collect it over the weekend.
